My plan for 2023 was to be transparent about the progress of my Medium earnings. I wanted to encourage new writers, as they could follow my unfiltered journey, and hopefully apply that to their own. I also wanted to see my own progression throughout the year. I wanted to see how far I’ve come. The ups and downs of the journey to achieving my goals.

There is a Medium Earnings list dedicated to my Medium income articles. This way, all my articles are in one easy and convenient place. I encourage you to read previous months and years to get an idea of where I’ve come from.

Articles

In May I managed to publish 4 posts. This is significantly less than what I managed to publish in April. Of the 4 articles, two were published in my own publication A Unique Life and 1 was published in Weekly Goals and Wins.

I’m proud that I’ve been able to write more articles for Weekly Goals and Wins. They are an amazing publication and I’m so glad I’m starting to push myself out of my comfort zone more. The more I continue to do things that I find frightening, the more I will grow.

The anxiety surrounding interacting with people on Medium has been something I’ve been trying to overcome as I know it’s another important way to push myself out of my comfort zone. I responded 42 times in May, which has been the lowest output so far, but I’m proud of myself for continuously pushing myself.

Followers

In May I reached a total of 523 followers. This is definitely a significant decrease in the new follower average from the previous month. I have averaged around 40–50 new followers a month since February. So, this has definitely been a significant drop-off. However…
